Zinc Aluminum Magnesium Steel Coil
Zinc Aluminum Magnesium Steel Coil
A new kind of corrosion-resistant coated steel sheet called zinc aluminum-magnesium coil is made primarily of zinc, around 11% aluminum, 3% magnesium, and trace amounts of silicon. Steel sheet coated with a highly corrosion-resistant zinc, aluminum, and magnesium alloy is known as Z-A-M. Z-A-M possesses exceptional corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and form ability because of the impacts of the metals magnesium and aluminum.

Producing Process
Zinc-aluminum-magnesium(ZAM) coating is through the role of aluminum and magnesium, so that the hot dip coating has excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance and processing, can be widely used in various fields. Zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel plate can be directly replaced by zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel plate without changing the existing processing, assembly, coating and other processes.
Most important, our steel sheet service capabilities include slitting, cutting to length, blanking, degreasing and brushing, stretcher leveling and metallurgical support.
Chemical Test
Corrosion resistance on flat parts
ZAM-EX has better resistance to red rust than galvanized and hot-dip zinc-5% aluminum alloy coated steel sheets.
Results of salt spray test (SST:JIS Z 2371) Appearances of specimens after salt spray test
Corrosion resistance on cut edge
ZAM-EX shows better red-rust resistance (durability) on cut edge than any other coated steel sheet.

Due to the compound efect of these additional elements, the corrosion inhibition effect is further improved. In addition, it has excellent processing performance under severe conditions (drawing, stamping, bendinq. paint weldinq, etc.), the coating has high hardness and excellent damage resistance.
The magnesium (Mg) in the coating layer contributes to the stable tightly corrosion object of Simonkolleite, Zn5 (OH) 8Cl2 H2O (chlorinated zinc). The corrosion object is formed on the galvanized surface as Film, taking the function to prevent corrosion of the steel sheet.

Product Inspection
Here are some key factors to consider when inspecting aluminum coils:
- Size: Check the size of the coil against the specifications provided by the manufacturer. Make sure they are the correct thickness, width and length.
- Surface quality: Check the coil surface for scratches, dents or other defects. The surface should be smooth without any visible damage.
- Color consistency: the color of the coil should be consistent throughout the coil. Any change in color could indicate a problem with the production process.
- Coating thickness: If the coil has coating, the coating thickness should be checked to ensure that it meets the specified requirements. Coatings that are too thin or too thick can affect the durability and performance of the product.
- Chemical composition: analyze the chemical composition of aluminum to ensure it meets the required standards. This includes checking for impurities or other elements that could affect product quality.
- Packaging and Labeling: Ensure that rolls are properly packaged and labeled for shipping and storage. Packaging should be strong and designed to protect the coil during transport.
- Manufacturing Process: The manufacturing process is inspected to ensure it meets the required standards and that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
An effective inspection process will help identify any potential issues with the product and ensure it meets the required quality standards.

Advantages of ZAM Coating
The non-oxidizing chemical properties of magnesium added to the traditional hot-dip zinc coating steel sheet make it up to 20 times more resistant to corrosion. Also, up to eight times more resistant compared to hot-dip zinc steel sheets coated with 5% aluminum alloy.
The steel sheets of ZAM are built with a firmer and smoother coating surface compared to those made from hot-dip zinc coating. This is the reason why ZAM coated steel sheets do not crack during forming conditions. After the shaping process, the flange area is also reduced.
ZAM coated steel helps save manufacturing costs notably in a variety of ways. Again, because of its enhanced corrosion resistance, it allows life cycle cost reduction. It also allows for upfront cost savings through process omission.
Environment-friendly—All product treatments adhere to environmental requirements, including RoHS directives to avoid the dangers of electrical waste disposal, and ELV systems to ensure that the system is controlled at a low voltage Saves coating and transportation costs—ZAM contributes to cost reduction and shortens delivery time by eliminating the post-hot-dip galvanizing process
